Shot Review

Can’t make our live Mentorship classes? Still want to get professional feedback on your shots?

We’re excited to now offer offline review sessions for those who can’t make our live mentorship sessions or who simply want a more flexible schedule for feedback.

Purchasing a feedback session also grants access to the JDA Workshop Discord server at the Inbetweener level, where you can hang out with your fellow animators, give and receive peer feedback, and talk shop!

Be sure to read the FAQ below and reach out if you have any additional questions!

After you purchase one or more sessions of offline feedback you’ll receive an email with info on how to upload your shot to Syncsketch (an online animation review tool) and send it to Janel.

After you send your shot, you can expect to receive your feedback with three business days. Janel will let you know if it’s going to take any longer than that.

Nope! This is meant to be a more flexible option for folks who can’t make the live mentorship due to time zone difference or other circumstances.

So don’t stress about sending on any sort of specific timeline, you can send your work whenever you’re ready for notes.

Nope! You can send it as soon as you pay or in a few weeks, or months, or whatever timeline works best for you.

You’ll receive your notes over Syncsketch, which is an online animation review tool. Janel will use a combination of written notes and drawovers to give you feedback on your shot.

Once Janel gives you notes on your shot you’ll receive an email letting your know your notes are ready!

Absolutely! I’d be happy to take a look at your bouncing ball or any other fundamental exercises you’re working on early in your animation journey. You’ll get notes just the same as more advanced students.
